iProcure vs Keelvar

Keelvar stops at the award. iProcure runs to the paid invoice.

Keelvar is a best-of-breed sourcing layer with award optimisation and autonomous sourcing agents, and it hands the award to SAP Ariba, Coupa or the ERP. iProcure is one modular source-to-pay product, from purchase request to paid invoice, for teams who will not buy and integrate three tools.

What Keelvar is, in their own framing

Keelvar describes itself as sourcing optimisation and autonomous sourcing for large global enterprises. Its optimiser models award scenarios across price, risk, capacity and contract terms, its Kai agents run spot and tail-spend requests, and a Rate Manager watches rate cards. It sits on top of SAP Ariba, Coupa, the ERP or the TMS, with no rip and replace.

Credit where due

Where Keelvar leads

  • Award optimisation that models award combinations no one can work out in Excel, with constraints written in plain language.
  • Autonomous sourcing: Kai agents take spot and tail-spend requests from intake to an award recommendation.
  • Expressive bidding and very large events: conditional discounts, bundles, thousands of lines, hundreds of suppliers.
  • Freight and logistics tenders by lane, with live market indices from Xeneta and FreightWaves SONAR.
  • Live in days next to SAP Ariba or Coupa, with their team running your first events and published customer results.

Our edge

Where iProcure leads

  • One product from purchase request to paid invoice: intake, RFx, award, contract, PO and invoice in one record, one login.
  • An evaluator workspace: everyone scores their own sections independently, then a consensus view shows the spread (demo).
  • Leaders decide from the email on a phone with a one-time link, no portal login. This is live today.
  • Supplier-blind by rule: suppliers never learn who else was invited, and restricted events are hidden even from admins.
  • Buy two modules or nine, with region packs for India, Europe, the USA and South Korea.

Honesty rule

What we don't claim

  • Award optimisation or a scenario solver. Not shipped.
  • Autonomous sourcing. Our AI works inside the step, citing the supplier's words; a human accepts or overrides; it never awards or signs.
  • A rate hub that triggers re-sourcing when a rate expires or drifts.
  • Published customer savings. We are pre-launch and quote no customer results.

Which to pick

An honest recommendation

Pick Keelvar when

Pick Keelvar when you are a large global enterprise already running SAP Ariba or Coupa, and your value sits in complex, high-volume events: lane-based freight tenders, direct materials with hundreds of suppliers, or tail spend you want agents to run without a buyer. Keelvar itself says it is not a fit for small teams running a handful of events a year.

Pick iProcure when

Pick iProcure when you run everyday RFx events with several evaluators, want the award to flow into the contract, PO and invoice without retyping, and will not buy and integrate a sourcing tool, a CLM and a suite. It suits teams of 200 to 10,000 people who want to start with two modules.

FAQ

iProcure vs Keelvar: questions

Is iProcure a Keelvar alternative?

For some teams, yes. If you need everyday RFx, evaluation by many people and the steps after the award in one product, iProcure is an alternative. If your value comes from award optimisation or autonomous sourcing agents, it is not: iProcure does not ship either today, and Keelvar is the stronger choice.

Does iProcure do award optimisation like Keelvar?

No. iProcure scores every response on a weighted model today, and ranks prices on sample data. It does not optimise how an award is split across suppliers under constraints. If you split large awards across many suppliers, bundles and capacity limits, Keelvar's optimiser is built for that and is the stronger choice.

What happens after the award in Keelvar and in iProcure?

Keelvar exports the award to SAP Ariba, Coupa or your ERP, where contracts, purchase orders and invoices happen. In iProcure the award creates the contract draft, the supplier's committed answers become tracked obligations, and the PO and invoice follow in the same record. Those later steps are sample-data demos today, and the demo walks through them end to end.

How is iProcure priced compared with Keelvar?

Neither publishes a list price. iProcure is modular: you pay for the modules you switch on and can start with two, and you never pay for a module you do not use. Design partners get a free 60 to 90 day pilot and a preferential launch price.

Can a smaller procurement team use Keelvar or iProcure?

Keelvar's own FAQ says it is not a fit for small procurement teams running a handful of events per year. iProcure is built for teams in companies of 200 to 10,000 people, running everyday RFx events with evaluators from quality, engineering and finance.
