Auctions is iProcure's eAuction module. A buyer sets up the lots, reserve and timing, invites suppliers and watches the event live. Bidders see where they stand, never a competitor's name. Questions about auctions

Which auction formats are supported?

The formats most categories need: reverse auctions for buying, forward auctions for selling surplus, and variants that show bidders more or less of the field. They are shown on sample data today, not yet live, so you can see the buyer and bidder views before you commit. The demo walks through the one that fits your category.

How does auto-extension stop sniping?

You decide how long the extension window is and how many extensions are allowed. Any bid inside that window before the close pushes the closing time back, and every bidder sees the new time. The event ends only when the bidding stops, so the final price reflects real competition, not a last-second click.

Can a supplier see competitor prices or names?

Names, never. Supplier blindness is enforced by the product: no supplier ever sees who else is bidding or how many are in the room. How much of the price picture a bidder sees is your choice for each event, from their own rank to nothing beyond their own bid.

Do I need to run an RFx before an auction?

No. Auctions stands alone: it starts from a supplier list and a price sheet, and suppliers can come from your supplier directory or a spreadsheet import. Moving an RFx shortlist straight into an auction, with the shortlisted suppliers and items carried over, is coming next.
